Vanguard University's "Church Classified Ads" is updated & published periodically during the Fall and Spring semesters and is distributed to all students, faculty, staff, and administrators as a service to the church and university bodies. How do I post a Classified Ad to fill a ministry position?
Postings are sent out to the student body and as posted on the Vanguard Youth Ministry Relations web site. Please send your ad via email to Anita Hann at ahann@vanguard.edu. After the position has been filled it is important that you contact Anita and request that the ad be removed from listings. There is no cost to post to this site.
The ad must include:
- name of your church
- where it is located
- denominational affiliation (if any)
- position
- contact information
- info on a stipend if it is being offered
You can also include a brief summary of what the position entails and what type of person you are seeking. Due to the volume of ads, we ask that you keep them short, yet informative.
Job Posting Example:
CHILDREN’S DIRECTOR: Name of Your Church, located in Your City, is currently seeking a person who has a passion for children to direct our fast growing children’s ministry. Must be available weeknights and every Sunday. Applicant should preferably have a college degree, and two years experience with children’s ministry. This person will be actively involved in creating activities, organizing parent participation, and teaching Sunday school. Please contact ________ at (555) 555-5555 or email resume/inquiry to yourname@yourchurch.org.
Can you help me find interns for my church?
Although we may not have a specific student in mind, many of them are looking for a place to minister. We have resources through our Religion Department, as well as our Classified Ads publication, that can help you in your search.
