Mission


Our mission is to explore the value of differences through experiential learning in order to increase understanding, promote community, and celebrate diversity.


Core Values

  • To inform and instill in the Vanguard community that they are called, gifted, and empowered to glorify God by ministering in our own community and throughout the world.

At Vanguard we are taking huge steps forward in nurturing the relationship between our campus, our community, and our world. Director of Diversity Programming and Mobilization, Jamie Brownlee, the Coordinator of Global Initiatives, Josh Harrison, and the Coordinator of Community Integration, Megan McDanel, are working with students, faculty, and staff to provide numerous opportunities to serve.

Invest in yourself this year by investing in the lives of others, both in our community and in our world. There are a variety of Local Ministry teams that may match your passions or past experience and let us help you get connected. Our Christmas, Spring, and Summer Break Missions trips may be something that you are also interested in.
