Inspecting Carol
Mistaken identity and unexpected mishaps create A Christmas Carol comedy
By Daniel J. Sullivan
Directed by Marianne Savell
A small Midwestern theater performs Dickens’ A Christmas Carol every winter. This year, however, it’s a slightly different story when the production encounters everything that can possibly go wrong, and more. To make matters worse, the financially struggling theatre company is in the midst of renewing a grant that is essential for their existence. The spirits of Christmas past, present and future will never be the same after this madcap adventure. “Inspecting Carol is a breezy antidote to stock Christmas offerings. The breeze is heaven-sent.” —NY Times
