Mission

The mission of the University Relations office is to be part of the local community through establishing scholarships for area programs and high schools, involving community leaders in supporting the mission of Vanguard, and being a service to those interested in helping promote the University. 

  • EIAA LogoEthics in America: Vangaurd University of Southern California presented the 2008 Ethics In America Awards program at The Grove of Anaheim. This premier Orange County event honored Dennis Prager, one of America's extraordinatory citizens, with the American Heritage Award of Ethical Distinction. Recent honorees include Emmy award winning performer and philanthropist Art Linkletter and John Wooden. Ethics In America exists to recognize people and organizations that have exhibited ethical character and distinction throughout our community. Vanguard's involvement in EIAA is a commitment to promoting ethical behavior in our society. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Proceeds from the event will benefit the University's Excellence Fund.

  • Christmas Fantasia: As Vanguard University's signature event, Christmas Fantasia is an enchanted musical evening of classic carols and contemporary holiday favorites held at the Orange County Performing Arts Center and St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. This celebration features over two hundred students from Vanguard University's award-winning music department. Sponsorship opportunities are available. All proceeds from this prestigious event will benefit the Universit'sy Excellence Fund, providing scholarships and valuable learning resources for the students of Vanguard.

  • Spring Awakening Gala: Vanguard University, in conjunction with the Vision 2010 department, will present the first annual benefit dinner in Spring 2009.  Proceeds from this event will support the renovation of the University's Lyceum Theater. Sponsorships opportunities are available. Partnering with Vanguard on the Spring Awakening Gala will powerfully impact the lives of students and the artistic community, and will put Vanguard on the map as a destination for the finest in theatrical entertainment in Southern California.

  • Vanguard Invitational Golf Tournament: This annual event raises funds for Vanguard scholarships, assisting those students who might not otherwise come to VU without university aid. The tournament includes a luncheon honoring local individuals and businesses for their contributions to Vanguard University and the local community. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

  • Professional Leadership Circle (PLC): A membership organization that brings business, education, and community leaders together for the mutual benefit of the university, business, and community. more...

  • President's Medallion Club:The President's Medallion Club (PMC) is a group of individuals committed to annually supporting the mission and vision of Vanguard through the University Excellence Fund. Because of their leadership, hundreds of dedicated students are granted scholarships, talented faculty are recruited and retained, and state-of-the-art learning resources are secured. President’s Medallion Club members are a vibrant part of the Vanguard community. Their generosity ensures that future business leaders, doctors, pastors, teachers, athletes and social workers are all offered the highest quality education at Vanguard. While the emphasis of scholarship may vary, the goal remains the same— Vanguard students want to make a difference in the communities around them. President’s Medallion Club members help to make these dreams a reality.

    We invite you to become a member of the President's Medallion Club. Your financial investment through the University Excellence Fund will be an invaluable resource in carrying out Vanguard’s mission of providing an education marked by academic excellence and spiritual vitality.

  • Executive Roundtables: These roundtables give executives access to Vanguard University staff and faculty in a casual setting. These discussions range in topic from business ethics to characteristics of leadership in today's marketplace.

  • Business Advisory Council: The BAC is made up of business leaders who share the School of Business & Management's vision for producing graduates who benefit both the organizations they work for, as well as the communities they live in. Members of the council make a two-year commitment to devote their time and expertise to further the business education of Vanguard students. Programs and services provided through the efforts of the council include: providing advice on the curriculum, serving as presenters or panelists in classes and business forums, providing internship opportunities for students, organizing and participating in mentoring programs for students, bringing a speaker series to VU and creating other opportunities for collaboration between the business community and SBM.
